Walnut Pie


Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • FILLING:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 can 6 oz. Nestle Cream

Instructions

  1. Combine flour and salt. Cut in butter. Add sugar and mix. Stir in eggs and mix. Form into two balls, one biggger than the other. Chill for 15 minutes. Roll bigger ball to fit into 9" pie plate. Pour filling and cover with the remaining pastry. Put vents on the top pastry. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.

  3. Caramelize sugar. Add walnuts and stir until coated. Add honey. Stir for 1 minute then add the Nestle cream.
