Quail Egg Siomai


Ingredients

  • 1/2 kilo ground pork
  • 1/2 kilo shrimps, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup singkamas, grated
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • salt, pepper, vetsin to taste
  • 20 pieces lumpia wrapper
  • 20 pieces quail eggs, hard boiled and peeled

Instructions

  1. Mix ground pork, chopped shrimps, chopped onions, egg, flour and grated singkamas. Season to taste. Add sesame oil and mix well. Cut wrappers in half. Place 1 inch balls in wrapper and form into a bonnet. Place half of quail egg on top. Place in a pyrex dish and steam for 30 minutes or until done. Makes 40 pieces.
