Quail Egg Siomai
Ingredients
- 1/2 kilo ground pork
- 1/2 kilo shrimps, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup singkamas, grated
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1/2 cup onions, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. flour
- salt, pepper, vetsin to taste
- 20 pieces lumpia wrapper
- 20 pieces quail eggs, hard boiled and peeled
Instructions
- Mix ground pork, chopped shrimps, chopped onions, egg, flour and grated singkamas. Season to taste. Add sesame oil and mix well. Cut wrappers in half. Place 1 inch balls in wrapper and form into a bonnet. Place half of quail egg on top. Place in a pyrex dish and steam for 30 minutes or until done. Makes 40 pieces.
